The Coaching Development & Resource Program has been established to provide support and knowledge to players and coaches at North Toronto.
North Toronto is one of the last remaining hockey clubs, with all non-paid volunteer coaches. We have established this program to help provide as much support as possible to all of these great volunteers and their teams. The program is designed to act as an extension of each team's coaching staff.
We have put together a group of 6 former coaches, current coaches, and executives that have had great success throughout their minor hockey coaching and management careers. Some of the achievements of these members include: Kraft Cup Championships, Scotiabank Playoff Championships, OHF Championships and GTHL Coach of the Year honours, but most importantly an abundance of experience. These committee members are readily available to each team to consult on any possible issues, provide insight on situations or help in technical strategies.
The following are some key highlights of the program:
- In person meetings with each head coach throughout the season
- Practice support and observation
- Game observation
- System & strategy assistance
- Team dynamic support & advice
- Professional Development Courses
Our goal is for North Toronto to be a destination organization for players who want to come and play for the best coaches in the league. In addition, our goal is for players and parents to know that all of our coaches have an entire support program available to their team.
