Learn To Play Programme
Learn to Play is a program developed for beginner players involving skills training. The goal of the program is to provide a fun environment for players to be introduced to hockey skills and to develop a passion for the sport. Players should be able to stand on skates and be able to move about without assistance. The better the skating ability the more useful the program will be for developing hockey skills. The professional hockey skills training is provided by Canadian Pro Hockey Clinic instructors. (www.cphc.on.ca )
We recommend the North Toronto Skating Club’s Canskate (www.northtorontoskatingclub.com ) program for potential Learn to Play participants who need additional skating development before moving on to the NT Learn to Play Program.
All Learn to Play programs include 18 once weekly classes that begin in early October. There are a maximum of 40 players per class with a minimum of 4 instructors for each session. Sessions will include a variety of drills to improve stick handling, skating, shooting and passing. There will also be scrimmages so that budding stars can display their hockey skills.

Dressing rooms will be provided for the players to get ready before sessions. Expect to be at the arena approximately 25-30 minutes before the session start time.
