NTHA 2009/10 House League & Learn to Play

Thank you for your interest in the North Toronto Hockey Association House League and Learn to Play programs. These programs are for boys and girls aged 4 to 19 as of December 31, 2009.

Our 2009/10 House League and Learn to Play season is well underway.

Each year when required the convenors make trades to balance the teams. This year the trade deadline for all House League teams will be November 20th

Learn To Play (LTP)

Skills training for 4 to 6 year olds provided by Canadian Pro Hockey Clinic. It is a 19 week program that begins the weekend of October 17, 2009. Currently there are 5 time slots for the 2009/10 season.  The players should be at the rink 20 minutes before the session to get dressed and to be ready to go on the ice at the start time. 

• Friday Night Program  De La Salle Arena at  5:00pm
• Saturday morning program  North Toronto Arena at 8:40am
• Saturday afternoon program North Toronto Arena at 3:10pm
• Sunday morning program North Toronto Arena at 9:40am
• Monday evening program Forest Hill Arena (Large Rink) at 6:10pm

We are adding a girls only program to begin in January 2010 Friday Night Program  De La Salle Arena at 6:00pm

House League for Tyke through to Minor Atom

The regular season began the weekend of October 17, 2009.  The games are played at North Toronto Arena. Teams are established and compete in a minimum of 16 game regular season games followed by a playoff schedule.  The program is completed by early April.  The players in Tyke through Minor Atom House League also participate in an Early Skills Development (ESD) program that will run approximately every other week during the regular house league season.  Skills sessions are run by Canadian Pro Hockey Clinic.  The program includes several coach run team practice sessions 

Game Times:

Tyke – Saturdays between 12:30pm and 3pm.  Up to 3 Saturday Night Hockey events
Minor Novice – Saturdays between 6am and 1:30pm.  Up to 3 Saturday Night Hockey events
Novice - Saturdays between 6am and 1:30pm.  Up to 3 Saturday Night Hockey events
Minor Atom – Sundays between 8:30am and 10am.   Up to 3 Saturday Night Hockey events

 

House League for Atom

The regular season begins the weekend of October 17, 2009. The games are played at North Toronto Arena. Teams are established and compete in a minimum of 16 game regular season games followed by a playoff schedule. The program is completed by early April. The players in the Atom House League will also receive at least 3 further skills sessions through the year focusing on both individual skills and team tactics. Skills sessions will be run by Eddie Choi. The program also includes several coach run team practice sessions.

Game Times:

Atom – Sundays between 6am and 9am. Up to 3 Saturday Night Hockey events

 

House League for Peewee and Bantam

The games are played at North Toronto Arena. Teams are established and compete in a minimum of 16 game regular season games followed by a playoff schedule. The program at these age divisions will be completed by March break 2010. The players in the Peewee and Bantam House Leagues will also receive at least 3 further skills sessions through the year focusing on both individual skills and team tactics. Skills sessions will be run by Eddie Choi. The program will also include several coach run team practice sessions.

Game Times:
Peewee – Saturdays between 4pm and 7pm. Up to 3 Saturday Night Hockey events.
Bantam – Sundays between 1:40pm and 5:30pm

 

House League for Minor Midget

New this year, the games will be played at De La Salle Arena. Teams are established and will compete in a minimum of 16 game regular season games followed by a playoff schedule. The Playoffs will be played at North Toronto Arena. The program at this age division will be completed by March break 2010.

Game Times:
Minor Midget– Sundays between 11am and 1pm

 

House League for Midget Juvenile

The games will be played at North Toronto Arena. Teams are established and will compete in a minimum of 16 game regular season games followed by a playoff schedule. The Playoffs will be played at North Toronto Arena. It is anticipated the program at this age division will be completed by March break 2010.

Game Times:
Midget Juvenile– Sundays between 10:30am and 2pm
